Church of Christ. In this section you

Congregational
Singing Practice
Regularly introduce new songs into our worship by
working with both the congregation and the song
leaders. Each session will focus on reviewing one
song previously learned and then learning 1 to 2 new
songs each practice. The projection system and the
paperless hymnal will be utilized as much as
possible.
|
Auxiliary
Song Book
In order to ensure that our congregational
singing is current with the latest songs, an
auxiliary song book is used to augment our normal
hymn book. Our Auxiliary song book is made so
that we can expand it as new songs are introduced.

Friday
Night Sings
11 Years ago Ed Lumley of the 36th
Street Church of Christ started what has become
known as Friday Night Sings. Every Friday from
March to November a church in South Eastern Ohio and
West Virginia sponsor a congregational sing at their
building. In 2004, Lancaster was added to the
schedule. During the sing, song leaders from
all over the area are encouraged to lead a song.
The singing session usually goes from 7:00 to 9:00
with a time for finger foods and fellowship to
follow.
Lancaster's sing is the last sing
of the season and is held the Friday before
Thanksgiving.
