Aberdeen Church Specifics

Established: In 1979 the present congregation was established. However, there was a church of Christ in Aberdeen from the mid 1800's until sometime after WW2.

Members: 47 baptized believers

Ages: The youngest member is one of our teenagers at 14 years old, and we range up in age to the husband of our oldest couple at 82 years old! We have 4 teenage members, 3 members in their 20's, 7 members in their 30's, 6 members in their 40's, 17 members in their 50's, 8 members in their 60's, and 2 members in their 80's.

Nationalities: We have represented within the congregation a number of countries including England, Belarus, Poland, Ghana, United States of America, and of course, Scotland. Among our regular visitors to worship services are people from South Africa and Mauritius.

Backgrounds: Our education and economic backgrounds are also widely diverse. Within the congregation we have an architect, a joiner, an accountant, a teacher, a corporate vice-president and a bus driver, highlighting our diversity!

Meeting Place: 393 George Street, Aberdeen, AB25 1EQ has been the home of the Aberdeen Church of Christ for almost 10 years. It was formerly the Trustee's Savings Bank, but was purchased by the church in 1997.

Meeting Times: Sunday Bible Study 10:00-10:45 am, Worship Service 11:00 am-12:15 pm, and Wednesday Bible Study 7:00-8:00 pm

What You Can Expect: Despite our diversity of age, nationality, and backgrounds you will find a loving and unified church family. A group of New Testament Christians who seek to hold up the word of God as our standard and as a light to those who are seeking. Please come and join us at any time and know that you will be made to feel most welcome.
