Our
Pre-school program is an outreach ministry of Lancaster
Church of Christ. Our educational purpose is to
provide a Christ-centered atmosphere where children
will know that God loves them and experience a variety
of opportunities that will develop a firm foundation
for future learning. We believe in working with
the total child, encouraging development of his or her
potential in the areas of spiritual, emotional, social,
intellectual, physical and creative growth.
This is a class offered for
children who are 4 years old by September 25, 2008.
We meet on Thursday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 12:00
p.m. Classes begin on August 28, 2008 and go
through April 2, 2009. We are offering an
academically based curriculum. The curriculum will
include and exceed state requirements for entering
kindergarten. The children will participate in
crafts, singing, Bible stories, gym and snacks.
There is a registration fee of
$50 for each semester, the first installment is due
when you send in your registration form and the
second installment will be due by December 18,
2008. If you wish to pay for both semesters at one
time that is also acceptable. All our teachers are
volunteers so all the money goes toward your child’s
supplies. Please return the attached registration
form along with your check made payable to the
Lancaster Church of Christ as soon as possible to
ensure your child’s enrollment.
On August 28, 2008 we will test
your child so we can place them in one of our four
classes of eight students. In August you will
receive your testing time (call to change if the
time is inconvenient), calendar for the year, and
forms to fill out. The forms can be turned in on
August 28, 2008, when you bring your child in for
testing. We will be working on a two-year
rotation. If your child’s birthday falls so that
they can attend for two years the stories and
homework papers will be different each year.
