Organization

Shawn Williamson

Education Director
The education director's work involves the following areas: Coordinator/recruit Department Heads, Quarterly Teacher/Perfect Attendance recognition, Define/Order/Provide Forms and Material for curriculum, “Special Class” coordinator, Oversee resource room, Manage training budget, Schedule training workshops.

The following document has useful teaching aids related to forms, classroom management, student characteristics, education structure, resource room layout, and general policies.

Teacher Basics

Department Head
The department heads are typically experts in their age group and work directly with their teachers.  Their responsibility includes: Recruit Quarterly Teachers, Optimize student teacher ratios, Work with education director to determine appropriate rooms/furniture, Fill absentee teacher positions, Suggest/Develop course material, Determine classroom material needs.

Teacher/Helper
Our teachers and helpers are Christians dedicated to making Christ real for their students.  Their responsibilities include: Present weekly lessons, Create/Update lesson plans, Record student attendance, Decorate classroom.

Resource Room Manager
Our education program is based on a curriculum program that we developed in house.  The success of this program is highly dependent on the organization of the resource room.  The resource room manager is in charge of making sure all teacher supplies and classroom supplies are organized and easily accessible.

Departments

Camey Ash

Preschool - Cradle Roll through Kingergarten
The pre-school years are a time for learning basic concepts.  They are also a time to learn to love learning.  The aim of these classes is to develop a loving and stimulating environment so that learning about God will be a fun and exciting time.  These classes try to help the pre-school child understand their relationship with God.  Some of these classes are “Who Made Me,” “Who Made Everything Around Me,” “Who Is Jesus,” “Why Am I Special.”  When a little one “graduates” from this department, it is hoped that this child will have a basic understanding of God, Jesus, the Church, the Bible, and, of course, many little Bible songs.

Sharon Jacobs

Primary - Grades 1 through 6
Our Goal is to build on the foundation of Bible stories and Bible truths begun in the pre-school years.  We introduce more Biblical principles such as:  repentance, forgiveness and baptism.  A big focus is to apply the attributes of Biblical characters to their own lives:  example—to develop a faith like Abraham, love for God like David, etc.  Our classes are for grades 1 through 6.

Greg Camarata

Secondary - Grades 7 through 12
The secondary training courses are designed to bring the stories of the Bible to life in today’s world.  Classes are divided into 7 through 9 and 10 through 12.  The goal of these courses is to adequately prepare these young people for the challenges of the world that they have to face everyday.

Adult
Our adult education is divided into several different class options based on age groups as well as interest areas.  We have courses for the college student, young couples, young parents, Parents of Teens, 30 something’s, Financial, time management, and seniors.  All of our courses are bible based and are designed to relate Biblical principles to our daily lives.
